Throughout the game’s looping structure, the protagonist confronts eerie manifestations of his inner turmoil, symbolized by events such as the falling painting, strange phone messages, and surreal environments. These repeated elements reflect the protagonist’s inability to escape the weight of his past actions.

As the story progresses, players gradually piece together the truth: the protagonist, a popular writer, plagiarized his friend Eric’s work. This act of betrayal led to Eric’s suicide, which has become the source of the protagonist’s guilt and mental unraveling. Each loop in the game reflects a deeper descent into the protagonist’s fractured psyche, with hallucinations and nightmarish scenarios representing his internal struggle with remorse and denial.

The manuscript, an object the protagonist repeatedly searches for, is both literal and symbolic. It represents the stolen work that catapulted him to success, and yet it also symbolizes his guilt—a lingering presence that haunts him in the form of lost fragments and chilling reminders of his betrayal.
